I got caught smearing Crayola on my lips.

Sitting in the glass-paned College of Business office, I unzipped the beige purse at my feet to grab a Crayola. I filled my lips with the perfect pink flush of colour - mauvelous. Passing students were both shocked and confused.

To my delight, Clinique recently released a line of their Chubby Stick lip balm in partnership with Crayola. The packaging is wonderfully nostalgic; both shaped and named for crayons. I bought one for the gimmick but ended up impressed!

Colour The products offer more pigment than the average lip balm and are available in a variety of sheer nude shades. The first day of wear, mauvelous left a rosy sheen on my lips for most of the 8-hour day without reapplication. The second day of wear, I reapplied once to keep the colour fresh. Although my lips were slightly dry, the pigment did not settle in any lines.

Benefits

As a preventative measure, this balm will keep your lips from drying this winter. The texture is creamy but sheer, so your lips will look naturally healthy. If you're seeking a more proactive treatment, I recommend using a repair oil in the evening and wearing the Chubby Stick for daytime outings.

Packaging

I love everything about this packaging - even if I get stares! Each tube looks like a crayon, down to the wavy details at each end. The product tip mimics the thin roundness of a crayon and is easy to apply. The 8-pack set even sits in a crayon box!

If you happen to be in the market for a lip balm, I'd pick up a Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick. You can be a child in the boring, adult world ...just don't let kids snag them!
